RM-Trucks of Munsala is a truck dismantling
company that has been around for almost 50 years. Our company was
founded in the early 1960's, and our facilities are presently over 11
ha in area. We can be found in the community of Munsala (on the Finnish
west coast, 10 km south of Uusikaarlepyy.)
RM-Trucks dismantles many trucks every year. Most of the trucks we work
with are Scanias, Volvos, Sisus and Mercedes-Benz's, although we do
occasionally work with others such as Iveco, MAN, DAF, etc. We also
dismantle newer brands like the Volvo FH-series, Scania R12 and R16 -series, and
Sisu E12 and E14 -series.
We stock new parts for trucks, especially front parts for Volvo,
Scania, MB, Iveco, DAF etc.
We also have a wide range of fixed gearboxes. RM-Trucks delivers parts
all over Finland by truck, freight, or post.
Besides the Dismantling Hall, we have a Storage Hall, Painting Bay, and
a Repair Bay with a five-thousand kilogram crane. In addition to these,
there are also Storage Shelves that are ca. 400 m long.
For heavy car-towing, we use a Volvo FM12 tow truck (-04) and a Volvo
FH12 special transport truck (-00) with a low trailer. These are an
important part of the corporation; we use them to pick up trucks we
have purchased throughout Finland. We are licensed to tow public
vehicles as well.
RM-Trucks is also in the business of selling trucks. Used trucks are
refurbished inn our workshop, after which they are inspected and sold
domestically. Used trucks are sold both within and outside the European
Union.
On September 17th 2008 RM-Trucks purchased the steam locomotive No. 1074 TR1 "Risto". Pictures and information can be found
